    Yes. I found a shop that sells offcuts of fleece very cheaply and I've used it as batting for several quilts. I think I now prefer it to conventional batting: it gives the quilt a lovely soft feel, and my stitching seems better, or shows better, too. No bearding and you can even match the colour to your quilt.

    After reading this thread, I now know what I'm going to do with those odd large pieces of fleece I have left from using fleece as backing. I do like it as backing, because the quilting shows up nicely.
