What designs? What exactly are you having trouble with?
Please supply a bit more information and I am sure we can help you.
By the way...welcome to the board. Care to introduce yourself and let us know where you might be from?

Bernina 830
Hi K,
I am Denise and I live in Toowoomba, Australia. I purchased my machine in Dubai and had a few quick lessons before moving to Aus. My machine was packed up for 2 yrs and when I unpacked it could remember very little. I worked my way through all the manuals and info available and then downloaded the software onto my computer.
I am able to manipulate the designs and add to the designs. I need a lot of practice and any help I can get. The biggest porblem arrises when I want to transfer the designs to my machine. The software doesn't recognise the bernina 830. I have version 5. I did innitislly download SP2 as was required for the software to recognise the 830.
On one occasion I was able to transfer designs as it gave me the option to transfer to the 830. Since then I have not been able to transfer anything, today it said "Bernina not responding"
I am extremely frustrated and have called Bernina support with no response to my e-mail they asked me to write.
i would very much appreciate any help I could get in regardsvto this matter.
regards
D

I haven't tried using the cable, I always use the USB stick.
Not sure which software you are using, but my steps for writing to the stick are -
When you have the design in your software - Under file - click - save as
in the window that opens - bottom
Save as type
select Bernina USB stick.exp
You may have to format your USB stick. I didn't, but I know others have. I use a generic USB stick - not the Bernina branded one.
Hope this helps and you are able to start having fun.

What happened to Bernina customer service? It use to be one of the best. I'd sent them an email every day until I got a response and post everywhere that I was not being acknowledged by them.
Over the last two years I have heard a lot of complaints about Bernina not responding at all to customers. I think some dealers are taking advantage of this and cutting corners on their customer service knowing Bernina isn't going to follow through with any complaints.

Sorry I can't help as I am computer challanged and I don't know your machine. Hopefully one of the 830 owners on QB will respond. I do know there is a Bernina 830 Yahoo group on the net, maybe they can help too?

Denise, I have had no problems transfering designs, but I use the free Artlink software. I can transfer to my USB with no issues. I don't have the fancy, purchased software that allows you to digitize etc, so I can't help you with the 5 version. However, there's a couple of free, yahoo groups that you can join and I know someone there can help you. You go to yahoo, click on groups and search for Bernina 830 and join the group. You can search messages and ask questions. Hope this helps you!

She called the support line. Her problem should have been addressed then not telling her to write and send in her question. Why have a phone support line? That doesn't make any sense at all for Bernina to do that to customers. They never use to be this way.
