She loved it and spent a lot of time talking about all the tiny pieces. She took it with her when she went for her treatments and showed it to the doctors and nurses. Alas, the treatments did not work, and she died. When I went to her funeral, I saw her quilt displayed among the floral arrangements. Her daughter told me how Virginia had prized her quilt.
It is so great just to know how appreciated a quilt can be
to someone. It makes all the work worthwhile.
