Can't you go buy one or have someone pick one up for you?
I bet DGD would love to spend AMTAP with you!

Call local churches to see if there is guild or sewing group meeting there. I wouldn't hesitate to ask a fellow quilter to please bring me a package of needles.

I am one of those who pays no attention to needle size....I just put in a new one when I need it and use it. Maybe you can use a "close" to similar size?

I did something similar once. I went to DD's to make DGD's graduation dress (age 17 at the time). I forgot the power cord to my Pfaff! Fortunately, DGD's boyfriend's mom loaned me her basic Singer. I used to have a Singer, and after a few minutes, I remembered how to use it, and I was off and sewing and made the dress. DGD looked beautiful for her graduation!
