Congratulations! I know you will enjoy your new machine.

It's strange to see you talk about winter when I'm sitting here in humid 80 degree weather ... that is until I realized that you are in southern hemisphere ... Australia?

One more reason to love this board .... broadening our environments!

Hope you have as much fun with your new machine as we intend to with the 2 vintage ones we picked up yesterday.

I live in Namibia - south western part of Africa. Our winters are actually very mild, although we are experiencing a cold front at the moment. Nevertheless, I'm not even wearing my winter unmentionables - yet. My office gets afternoon sun and I've saved up some reading to sit and do in the sun. Let's hope I stay awake till it's finished!

    Hi Silver Needle,
In this case it is the excitement of "new-to-me" that we share. Enjoy your wewing adventures. I have a vintage that belonged to my DH's grandmother, but it is used as a show piece on its original Singer table. One day....... And then I also inherited one from an old aunt of his which I still have to transport from South Africa to Namibia. Another one day .......

If winter has just set in and your talking dollar exchanges you must be in Australia or there abouts! It's only 100 today in sunny Victorville, Ca.

    Enjoy your new toy!
