What is the best procedure for binding on a corner like this? This is for my future daughter-in-law and I want it to look the best. It's a table runner. The ends I can get fine, but what about these corners? Oh... I haven't squared off the batting and backing...those will get done too.

i would just do bias binding sewn on from the front and you should be able to make that curve.

then i would do hand stitching of the binding on the back that way you can play with that curve to make it look nice from the back.

Yup. Thats how I did my placemats with the 45 degree corners. In fact it is the same method I use for 90 degree corners on a normal quilt, you just have to change the ange you take the binding 'up' with before you fold it over and down. Make sense? :roll: :? :?: :shock:

I actually did it...and did it right the first time. I used the regular technique as on a 90 degree angle and adjusted the folds as needed.
But...the BEST part is that I created a template.
I have that thin plastic that you can use to make templates and made my own little piece for marking the pin points.
When I get to close to the corner, I lay my template down and match up the edges, then put a pencil mark through the holes.
Remove the template and I know exactly where to stop.
This is a rough template, but after using it on my table topper, I found it VERY helpful.

Thanks, so much for this link! I was working on a pointed table runner and KNEW that I could find the answer to my binding problem from someone on this board! This video is PERFECT!
Now if I can get my corners PERFECT! :lol:
