I knew when I saw a tip from Tartan it would be a great one and this one is! What a wonderful and simple idea!
Thanks

Now, why didn't I think of that! I use Bonnie Hunter's tip with the painters tape to get an accurate 1/4" seam...I use the 2" tape for straight line quilting..now another use for painters tape. Thank you for the great tip !

Great tip! I must admit, when I first saw your sewing machine surround, the hexagons reminded me of chicken wire - it threw me for a bit!

Great tip! I always seem to wiggle at the end join. This should really help!

This is a great tip for those that have difficulty with the 45 degree join. Thanks, Tartan......you are always so helpful.

I used to do that. In fact I drew a line directly on my Kenmore but since I use my FeatherWeight mostly now, I forgot. Well duh! I need to use some tape on my Singer 237 that I use mostly for binding. I hate drawing lines.
