Default Bloc loc rulers

My back has me stuck in bed ...so I'm surfing 😀
Bloc loc rulers seem to come in sets. Is there any reason you can't square up a 1-1/2 block with a 5-1/2" ruler?

no reason at all. just have to make sure you find the right line. i often put a piece of tape almost on the line to find it easily

Thank you. I do a lot of 1/2 square triangle block from left over flip And sew corners.

They are so cute. Today's trim down to 1-1/2"
I think I'll treat myself to one, maybe the 3-1/2" one, l newer work with anything bigger than that

I'm still in bed but rob is making homemade turkey soup and muffins life is good

I did buy mine in a set; it was on sale and I am a notions/tools fool. I LOVE them. I have used a larger one when smaller one wasn't readily available (ie, buried under a pile of stuff...), but honestly, it is easier to use one that is the correct size, or close to it. I will admit that I've never used the 6.5" one as I rarely have hst's that large. If buying one, I'd go with 4.5" before the 6.5".

I have the block loc strip ruler. Never have figured out how to use it. I have watched the video many times. I finally learned how to use the block loc hst ruler and it is a big help.

I was fortunate to find a set of 3 sizes on sale and use them often.

I have the set of 3 HST rulers, and find that I like the ruler to be bigger than the finished square, so almost never use the 2 1/2" size. If I were only buying one, would get the largest.

Just yesterday I received my order of a set of 3 for half square triangles from Missouri Star Quilt Co. I was holding onto half square triangles that I had made and wanted them to be perfectly trimmed. OH my gosh, I'm so happy that I did....each square is absolutely perfect now.
bearisgray...thank you for posting the link to the website. I've saved it to my screen and will take a look at the tri-rec tools after reading this blog!!
Doing a happy dance this morning!
