I want to join. I have always wanted a blue and white quilt but couldn't decide on a pattern.

Unfinished includes the 1/4 in seam allowance on all sides..
So when sewn into the quilt it will end up 12 inches.

This exchange has room for an unlimited number of participants.
So, anyone can join at any time as long as you are ready to mail your blocks to me by Mar 1. I will need to know who you are so that I can PM my mailing address to you, so keep me updated on whose in.

If I got you, you are in the sign up list on the first page. If I missed you, please PM me.

And,, we now have enough participants that I want to offer you a second option...

You can do TWO sets.. ie 12 of one block and 12 of a second block....
and get 24 different blocks in return. Think about it....

where can we find 12 1/2 inch stars.. most sites are 12 even?
Dawn, when you find a 12 inch block pattern, that usually indicates a 12 inch finished block, which will be 12 1/2 inches unfinished

So, all of those blocks are OK for you to use..

    International postage issue:

Elle has been so good to identify a small problem with my instructions for those of you living outside the US...

    Here is my proposal..

When you send your blocks, include a self addressed envelope, without the postage. When you go to the Post office, note the weight of the package you are mailing it to me...then PM me with that number.

I will send you a paypal invoice for the postage in your local currency.
Pay pal will do the conversion to USD and I will recieve that amount for the return postage. I will purchase the postage and apply to the envelope for the return...

What do you think? Are you international girls OK with this?

jstitch I'm not certain that would work as whenever I send things to Canada it's always less to ship them to canada, than have someone send me the exact same thing From Canada.

It might be best if they note the "weight" of the package they are sending, then you can look up what it would cost to send that weight back to them.

Perhaps a flat USPS envelope or box? Then at least you'd know how much it would be, even if there was a bit of extra space in the box.

Elizabeth, thaks for the suggestion. my experience with flat rate international is that it is only good if you are sending a lot of weight. I can stuff a flat rate box with a TON of fabric. But the flat rate box is expensive for small amounts.

    Good ideas, keep them coming.

I am fine with all the ideas so far. I have no problem with the Paypal idea as I have an account too

ElizabethA´s suggestion is good as we don´t want you paying too much, it can work out expensive.

    Keep them coming.
