This Board is Money in the Fabric/Notions Bank!

I joined the Board when I started quilting at age 74. Now, thanks to all I have learned here, I consider myself a very good quilter. Every time I have a question, I find someone has already asked it and the answer is here. I have met wonderful friends here who inspire me and who keep me quilting. As for saving money, I was using an expensive glue until someone here told me that the inexpensive Elmer's washable school glue was made with the same formula. Now I buy Elmer's on sale and have saved quite a bit.

Reading the daily digest is how I start my day. I'm an early riser so glad it's in my e-mail by 6:30 each morning. I have learned so much. School glue, patterns, products, websites....the list could go on. I'm so in awe of the knowledge of so many on this board. Thank you for sharing.

Oh yes, I agree with everything you each have posted! I am new to quilting and joined this board two and a half years ago. Almost everything I know about quilting, I learned here. Whenever you need advice or help, the people on this board are very generous with their help! I even learned to fix up old sewing machines because of the wonderful people on the vintage sewing machine part of the QB.
It isn't just the practical aspects of what you can learn here that make the QB so great. I couldn't put a price on how many times reading people's posts has made me smile, fall off my chair laughing, or warmed my heart. Being part of this online community is very good therapy!
