Bobbin confession

oops, I never new about this hole!!!
Just wend to check on my bobbins and it's the first time in my 53 year old life I see it's there.
Needless to say I've always winded my threat succesfully on the bobbins ;-)

My instructions said to use the little hole. I don't. I clamp the end of the thread against the inside edge of the bobbin, wrap firmly a few times, then use the winder. One of the few times I did it the other way, everything got messed up because a tiny amount of thread stuck out. I am pleased with my way, and it's much easier.

I have been sewing for 40 (eek!!) years and never pulled the thread through the bobbin - until I purchased a new machine and READ the instructions. I said to somebody "my old bobbins didn't have a hole". Then I went back and looked at them. They did.
Now the good news - NOT putting the thread through that little hole never impacted my sewing one little bit.
