I would do a narrow orange border, then a larger dark blue border, just to "stop" the quilt and give your eyes a place to rest.

I would border in black for it would pull the many colors together. But love your work.

I think that it would look great with a border.

I think any and all suggestions are good, and I say if you like it wit a blue binding, pop that puppy on there and call it finished. Your daughter is going to love it either way

    I agree, an orange border.

If you have blue material, I would do border with blue and orange binding, like the middle pannel. Otherwise just do an orange binding.

The pattern is from quiltville.com, called patches & pinwheels, I have so many scraps left that I plan on doing another one without the panel. It is a sixteen patch (or 4 4 patches,) I did short strips then cut them and stitched them. It was so fun and easy. Pinwheels are my favorite pattern, so this one made me smile the whole time I was sewing.

I vote for an orange border. Right now it looks like the entire outer piece is an oversized border to the center panel. It looks great but to me - unfinished.

Great cats/blocks you have here!! I love it, a lot of love/labor went into this.. Now I think just an 2 1/2" solid strip around it would finish it off perfectly so when you put backing on would not interfere with the blocks on front with binding.
