Default Bow Tie Pattern

Does anyone know of a way of making a bow tie block besides the one in Quilters Cache`? Looking for something that isn't paper pieced or have Y seams. Thank you in advance.

here is the 10 minute method. you could use the same fabric for the opposite corners and the 'knot' in the center

I make them by hand sewing like I do a yo yo. In fact the Yo Yo Ladies of Paducah had the quilt show attendees running to buy charm packs from vendors when demoing how to do it. I remember the first vendor closest to the Ladies sold out of all her charm packs the first day. The pdf is available on this board but I can't find the post just now.

Have you tried googling 3d bowties? I made a bowtie quilt with recycled ties. It turned out great.
