Default Brother 1500 or Juki 2010

What machine would you suggest to buy for a Grace frame specifically made for this type of mid arm setup? I was given the frame and Sure Stitch Regulator and now need a machine to use.

I have the Brother 1500. I like it. I haven't used the Juki. I think they are about the same. I don't use it on a frame though.

I have the PQ1500s and I love it, but I don't use mine on a frame.

I would take a look at the differences between the two machines and decide what would work best for you. I think the Juki 2010 can be used without the foot pedal, which would probably come in handy on a frame. The PQ1500s does not work without the foot pedal, unless you buy an adaptor.

Also, check to see if the Grace sure stitch regulator will work with both machines. It may be that you will need to buy some kind of adaptor for one or the other of the machines to use with the stitch regulator, and that will add to the price of the machine.

The Brother 1500 and Juki 2010Q are the same machine. The SureStitch is specific to certain machines, but there are only about 5 different configurations. So several different machines will use the same SureStitch. You can call and ask The Grace Co. which machines your SureStitch will work on.
