I know I want a Brother CS6000i sewing machine. I've looked at them online and at the WalMart that is in my town. The closest dealer that sells Brother sewing machines is 4 hours driving time away from me. I've read that Brother makes low-quality machines for chain stores to sell. I bought my last Brother from WalMart, but that was 15 years ago. Would I be making a mistake buying my new one the same way this time?

If it were me, I would get it. Save the box and receipt. If it crashes within a reasonable time, or you don't like it, you can return it.

I have a brother embroidery machine that my brother gave me as a gift in 2006 and had trouble twice, works like a charm, then I bought a Brother serger, a project runway, thread easier than the older one. I love it
