How is your quilt coming along? I am considering making one too. I can't find too many kits online. From what I am reading just the pattern leaves a lot to be desired as way of directions.

Are you using a design wall to help keep things straight as you work?

If you want to see some made up go to Rather Bee Quilting (Lake City, MN) site. They have several that have been made up by quilters.

I am sure you will get the quilt done. I am finding it an easy quilt to do.

One thing I am doing that will make it easy to assemble is I have big zip lock bags labeled for each "section" of the butterfly. Such as 1R (right) 1L (left) etc., as shown in the direction booklet and as I complete blocks that will go into each of the many sections I am adding them to the appropriate bag labeled with the section the block belongs to. That way when I am done with all the blocks and ready to assemble the quilt top I will have all the pieces to every section already sorted out in the bags.

HST are 2" finished. the directions are to make 4x4" square , sew around edges, cut the piece on the diaginal 2 times./both ways that will give your 4 HST. You mst be careful when pressing so as not to stretch the bias. Actually I marked the diaginal bith ways before cutting and then cut with sissors. this seems like mnre work but then I did not have to worry about the pieces slipping when I used a ruler and rotary cutter.
