I would buy backing or background material. I bought a large amount of white and cream kona but decided to work from my stash. I was lucky enough to get free material from someone who was cleaning out their stash so I have a good amount. I'll only buy if I have a project in mind and need something to coordinate with what I have. I found when I buy something just because I like it, it sits there and I don't find anythinjg I want to do with it.

I am doing good at getting rid of my stash. I have told myself that I will not buy anymore material just to be buying it unless it is something that I really really love. I have been doing good at only buying material for a project I plan to do in the near future. I also have told myself I am not going to buy a piece of material unless I find at least one piece to go with it at the same time. In the past I have bought a piece I thought was pretty then never could find anything else to go with it so it ended up being used in a scrap quilt or I gave it to someone else. Now if I could resist buying sewing gadgets...... lol

I have no will power ... I'd be there with cc in hand ..... I have enough fabric to last me two lifetimes x10 but why is it that I cant ever find 'that' fabric I need for my project in my stash?!?!?!!
