For the past several years (since I retired) I have made goodies for family and friends. Everything from homemade marshmallows to jerky to exotic candies/cookies and packed everything in reusable plastic containers and then it all went into reusable grocery tote bags. Takes weeks of planning, purchasing, cooking and many dollars. Do you think one person might say "Thanks"? Not on your life. This year I think it'll be table runners or bog coats.

Last year I made christmas cookies, St. Lucia's crown, tatted onraments and my son helped me make soaps. I felt really good after ward because the gifts where able to go to more people then if I had bought something for the few i was inteanding on giving.

I really love to receive homemade scented candles and homemade fudge and divinity candy. One year I constructed padded boxes which I lined in satin and covered in embroidered velvet embellished with pearls. They were well received. I think this year I'll include a piece of jewelry inside or a scarf and pin.
