For christmas I got a ruler square with a diamond edge, 2 jelly rolls and a couple large spools of thread. Can't wait to use them.

If it's what I'm thinking...it's 300+...better to tell them and get something you can really use...and maybe save them a few bucks...

I got several non-quilting things, but I also got a $40 gift cert. to Connecting Threads and a quilting calculator, plus two applique books (I requested books on applique) and a book of iron-on transfers of quilt labels.

Great gifts. Next year I'll make santa a list! I love the Elm Creek books also. Our public library has several of them.

My DH surprised me with a new janome 11000! my DD said I can't believe you're crying over a sewing machine! When I said to him-I can't believe you did this, my DGS asked -did grandpa do something wrong? noo-it was something very good! I was so surprised-he said he got it b/c of how much i love to sew!

Love the Elm Creek Books. Going to put them on my new Kindle, while I am working on my new computer, eating off my new dishes the dinner I made in my new Kitchen Aid Blender while standing in my new fuzzy socks, with the spicy sprial pattern and ruler in my pocket, getting ready to go to JoAnnes with my GC. I love surprises, even at my age.

I just started the Elm Creek books. I got one from my Dec. secret pal (on here) and now I'm just hooked!
