Animals are not allowed to roam around outside in my neighborhood. They have to be fenced in if they are going to be outdoors.

So sorry to hear about your mousey problem! # 1 use Oxiclean for the fabrics...it is easy on the fabrics.
#2 get a barn cat. Won't need to feed it much! Sounds like you are doing the right things.
# 3 have 1 person outside the room with a strong flashlight and you inside that room or any others near it. Shine the light at the wall where it meets the foundation, at the window frames, etc. if you can see light thru into the house, plug the area with steel wool. A mouse can fit into a space the size of a pencil. ( my husband works in that field!)

try washing everything first - some of the stains may come out -

we get mice in the house every so often - I will admit to cluttered, but not dirty-

after you wash and dry everything - what looks like you can save - iron it with a hot iron and I think that would disinfect it adequately -

when you think about it, the money in your wallet (when you had some) probably was more contaminated than your fabric

Henry, so sorry you are having such a problem . 35 that is a lot and yes they are looking for the dog food ! have you thought about those pest-b-gone things that you plug into an outlet. I haven't tried them but others have and say they work. Worth a try. GOOD LUCK !

Seriously, tho'.......that totally sucks, Henry! Me being me would be livid and not so nice. It's so not cool to ruin things that don't belong to you and make such a mess. I do understand too the dilemma and wanting to salvage the friendship too. I do hope all things work out well, but I hope she realizes her responsibility too and will step up and cover your losses equitably.

Washing your fabric in hot water, detergent with a colorsafe bleach and a dye grabber should take care of cleaning it well. Run it thru twice if that helps.

So sorry about all the mess.
