I like your first picture with the white in wide boarder. It's a really pretty quilt!

I would use the red or a black for the inner narrow border and bind it in the same fabric as the larger border and I like the second border.

The snowflake fabric is identified on my EQ program as Starry night....I haven't been able to locate it online though....will keep looking!
Thank you for all of your replies....I have a difficult time making decisions about color placement!

I like the narrow red double borders best. Good luck with whatever you choose, though. I like the "busyness" of the bright fabrics. It is an unusual design and one would not get tired of it soon.

I LOVE the first pic. Just seems to me that the black moves your eye to the center because that is where all the action is and the snow flakes give it a soft feel. Like in the country when it snows and all is quiet. Such a pretty, warm, homey quilt

I much prefer the first border fabric; I think the white snowflakes set off the quilt nicely. Both red and black narrow borders work, I think. Two reds or one red and one black.....but knowing me, I'd probably choose the two reds.

I saw the picture of your log cabin quilt in another post down below, and it's beautiful. I do agree with you that perhaps a solid, or a fabric that reads as a solid might be a better choice to showcase that gorgeous quilt. I would go with a brown or pick up one of the darker colors in the quilt for a border. I made an appliqued and pieced log cabin quilt for my friend who lives in one - the original pattern did not have a border, however, I decided on a medium-dark brown that acted like a frame for the quilt. She planned to hang it from her second floor balcony next to her stone fireplace, so I thought the brown acted like a frame and she absolutely loved it as it hangs in a place of honor in her home.

Love the deep red, it brightens the whole quilt and makes your quilt much more festive than the darker borders.
Good luck, thank you.
