Not only am I a new quilter, I am new to these boards as well. :D I decided to learn to quilt when we found out we were getting a grandson to go with our granddaughter.
I have always loved to sew. I loved making pretty dresses for my granddaughter and couldn't find anything for my grandson. I started out making rag quilts and wanted to learn to make more traditional quilts. I am slowly learning and loving everything about quilt making.

Just started, and I am HOOOOOOKKKKKKKKKKEEEEEEEEEEDDDD!!
My stash is coming out of the closet! Literly, OOOSING out!
My book "stash" is running out of room on my bookcase and I just discovered the series of Quilting-fiction books by Jennifer Chiaverini!!!
Just picked up 3 more of her books at Half Priced Books on Friday, and already finished on of them last night!!
Who would guess you can learn from "story" books??
Starting to get urge to try hand quilting besides machine!!
Also, LOVE this website!!
