I ordered from them about a month ago a navy blue fabric and a cranberry red and I was not happy with the way they washed the navy blue had a white faded line on the fold I blamed it on me because t I didn't open the width when I put it in the washer but I did open the cranberry red and layered it in the washer when I took it out of the dryer it was worse then the navy blue white lines going through the whole 2 yrds of fabric no way I could anything with it except fmq practice and I also ordered 2 large spools of 50wt white thread 1 cone was good the other cone was lousy thread kept coming off the spool about every 3 feet I can't wind a full bobbin with it now I use that for hand needle work.but then again I did some nice fabric about a year ago

Connecting Threads has great customer service. You can call them if you get fabric and threads that are duds. They really take care of you. I have ordered fabric and thread from them and have been very happy.

Count me as a happy content customer! Everything I've made from their fabrics has washed wonderfully and fading has not happened. On my latest quilt, their representative found the perfect color thread for me - she was a real person that cared about a customer.

I am always careful with any saturated color for a project, from any manufacturer. I do not wash fabric before using it - I wash a sample to make sure it does what I want. I prefer the dimention of stitches!

I have never had trouble with the quality of their fabric. I have bought a lot and it has always been of good quality.

I saw that they had a few Mirage fabrics. I have ordered Mirage and the quality was good. Understand that's all I ordered so all I can comment on

I am sure if you called them and complained they would make it right. I bought a kit and pannel was missing which was needed to make quilt and they gave me $30 plus dollars credit and I got to keep yards of fabric, in large peices and that is only time I have had a problem with them. Anything else I got from them has been great, including charm packs. Let them know about your red and blue material, it should not have done that. I too pre wash and have to 50 years, better than find out materal runs, shrinks etc and you can get bad material anywhere even if you pay a lot for it. Way back, sewing clothes you wanted to make sure material didn't shrink and colors run and it was standard to prewash.

Someone told me a while back that CT had changed manufacturers because of so many complaints with their original fabrics. They were odd off colors, coarse and not very appealing to me. The pieces I have ordered more recently have been much better quality. I have had problems with their threads. For some reason my Janomes do not like it.

I have had good luck with Connecting Threads and I'm thinking about taking advantage of their current sale.

I've said it before and I'll probably say it again in the next thread that I've been ordering from C.T. for years and have been more than satisfied with every fabric. I prewash and have never had a problem with fabric fading or any other problem. It's all been gorgeous stuff. My latest order arrived just a few weeks ago and is lovely bright colours.

As for their threads being linty, I clean the bobbin area every time I refill the bobbin. It might be slightly more linty but I can't tell.

Their service is great and postage to Hawai`i is $7.50 or so which is more than reasonable. There are sites where I got to the checkout and would have been charged as much as $85 for fabric that would have fit in a large priority mail box. I don't think so dudes!
