I have worked corduroy into quilts...as long as the pieces aren't too small it works great...nice texture.

I have a corduroy dress that I am saving to work into a quilt...just waiting to decide on the perfect pattern and finding the other fabrics to go with it.

I adore corduroy. Flannel, denim, corduroy, are like the official family apparel fabrics, lol. A corduroy backing would give a nice weight a certainly keep the quilt from sliding off the bed. But I definitely wouldn't want to hand quilt it!!!

I know this is crazy, but I make blankets for my show bunnies out of it.

I like to put some corduroy in rag quilts, or baby quilts. It adds a nice texture.

Following this thread. I have yardage in black, pink and lavender. Was thinking I'd make a quilt one of these days.

I agree, the heavy fabrics look great in comforts, they have a primative look. reminds me of my grandmothers heavy comforts she had, & I'm 65.

Unbelievably, I made a king-size bedspread that goes all the way to the floor out of 12" squares of all different patterns and colors of corduroy for my late husband, who loved corduroy. It wasn't meant to cover-up with.....just for the looks of it on the bed. I use it in the winter since it's the dark colors. One of my granddaughter has always loved it and wants it. It's beautiful if you like corduroy. It surely has to be tied and not quilted; and is pretty heavy. But it's a neat looking bedspread for the right bedroom.

Most autistic children prefer a heavier quilt to a light one so if you know someone with an autistic child they would appreciate a heavier quilt.
