Question-why don't you have someone in the States buy and mail the fabric to you? Is that illegal???? Or if you buy it online, do they charge you more?

I found an article that said the price will be going up by 10%. Been doing searches for fabric for my quilt shop and the prices are up and haven't found much for new lines of fabric yet. this is do to shipping cost going up and cotton prices. A few of the manufactors and suppliers are either going out of business for what ever reason and some are merging together. We might see more cotton blends and that also may drop the price a bit.

Seriously? Going out of business when the quilting world seems to be exploding?? Wonder why? Hope Moda stays with their high quality fabrics!!

Don't worry about Moda or the big name fabrics they will always be there. The few that have closed were family owned. I am looking for one article I should have printed off about Kaffman buying or merging with some of these closing factories. Will have to go looking for it again and will post when I find it again.

Is nothing sacred? lol I think fabric is pretty high at the LQS now. It is hard to pay $10 per yard. I'll build my stash some more.
