be thankful for the untidy problems that you have.
I am the opposite...can't sew unless I have done a certain amount
of cleaning (earned it?)...with dishes and laundry and dust multiplying
on an hourly basis, guess how often i can relax to sew?
So let the fur and the thread fly and go quilt! I envy you!

I have bits of thread and material all over my floor. Never checked the casters on my chair, maybe I should. I have a small shop vac that I clean my carpet with - thank goodness it is a very low pile carpet the chair rolls very easily over it. I just have to keep the door way clear because we have a large metal shelf unit that we keep food stored on (don't have a lot of kitchen cabinets). This shelf unit is just inside the sewing room and I can't pile totes in front of it. I find it very hard to keep the room neat and tidy, too many projects going on at any given time. But I will check the wheels on the chair, maybe it will roll even smoother when I do. thanks for the tip

Paper Princess, you sound just like me! I 'took over' the dining room too (it has the best natural light!). I hate when I have to evacuate-- Thanksgiving, Christmas, and maybe Easter if the kids come home. It's a big job to move and hide all the sewing. I even bought a bigger table for the kitchen so we won't need to use the dining room table hardly ever! Just holidays...
