I agree with Ann Peterson, particularly the class about large projects on a small machine (can't remember the exact title).

For straight stitching, I like Jacquie Gehring's first class on using the walking foot.

There are a few classes I like for general FMQ - have to look at the teacher names again. Christina Cameli is one of them.

That would be amazing... much more harp space, for sure!

She really does need to upgrade that Walmart Brother, tho!
I used Marti Mitchell's book to FMQ my first large quilt (king size) on my DSM and it was awesome. Its an easy read. I read it and figured out how to do my quilt while I was at a car show.

I agree with upgrading the Brother!

We were just measuring the harp space on vintage machines last week on the Vintage Sewing Machine forum. The 201 has even more harp space than the 15-91.

I started quilting with a Marti Mitchell class. She gave me confidence and helped me get over my fears.

Ann Pederson or Marti Mitchell are great. I also love Angela Walters as you can quilt just a block at a time and use different motifs on each of them. There are previews for each class and picking a few to preview gives an idea of what to expect with each class.

Lori Kennedy has a couple good classes on machine quilting. You can check her out at www.the inboxjaunt.com. She has a or of good tutorials on her site.

I didn't know diddly squat about quilting so watched you tube videos and took Craftsy classes! I'm still learning! If you don't like a class you can exchange it for another! I did that once no problem! You can go back to your classes as often as you like! I think this is a great gift for a quilter!

Check out "Quilting Large Projects on a Small Machine" by Ann Peterson. It helped me.
