    I've made a disappearing 16 patch cut on the diagonal put together with sashing. I've also set a D9P on the diagonal with sashing. I liked them both.

    I can try. My computer with Photoshop and my pictures on it crashed so I have start anew. The first one is a D9P on point with sashing - I ran out of fabric and make a different block for the center. The second is the D16P with the blocks cut on the diagonal.

    Check out a post by nance-ell on the 30th January, 2011 titled "D9P Sliced and Diced". Nance-ell made the D9P blocks but wasn't happy so cut the blocks again on the diagonals with very good results.

    you might look at Connecting Threads new line. I got several and peaches and aqua were very soft

    our guild just had a speaker, Marlous Designs, today. she has made a successful business out of slicing and dicing all sorts of quilt blocks. and she's a funny speaker, too

    I did this one I call the magicians 9 patch, you cut the 9 patch like usual, down the centers vertically and horizontally, but then you make those into another 9 patch using solids and a print
