I bought the sizzix westmister also. It does cut several layers of fabric. I only paid like 150.00 for it. I bought the small one and I like it, but I have not used it as much. Sometimes I see all the patterns for the Go baby die cuts and wished I would have bought instead.

I belong to a yahoo group of fabric cutters and I have heard some other groupies mention that they can use any type of die on the sizzix westminster.
As I understand, you just need to use some type of adapter.

There is a yahoo group (pinsandneedles1) where the owner sells Go!, Baby Go! and Sizzix machines and dies at 35% off discount prices. I've bought several and found her to be a very honest and reliable merchant. The reason I chose the Big Shot is that it will allow the use of dies made by several different companies and cuts many more layers than the Go! It really boils down to choice. Ebony Love is also a veritable gold mine of information and her tutorials are fantastic.

I don't need to take it with me and I get a lot of use out of it. Just depends on your wants and needs. The studio dies are more expensive and now they have an adapter to use with it so you can use Go dies with it. I have seen go dies on many other sites and they have sales on them. So I got the adapters as well, so I can pick Studio and/or Go dies to purchase and use as I see fit.
 Groceries are secondary and if they get hungry there is always the good old pbj

Sizzix Big Shot Pro (Westminster/purple)
Sizzix Big Shot Pro (Westminster/purple)
have just found the info.
the table length of the Sizzix is 15" shorter than the Studio.
I'm thinking this might cause stress on the Sizzix
if I am to cut a lot of strips as the die are long.
