The Pfaff 4.2 Quilt Expression, and all Pfaffs which have the Sensormatic feature, have a floating foot to use with the dogs down. You can, however, use the darning/quilting/hopping foot if you prefer.

i had never seen that foot before.
it fascinates me.
a snap-on foot for free-motion?
how convenient!!!
after fishing around for waaaaay too long online trying to find it i finally realized i could just look at the manual online for the mc15000 to get the foot number.
the manual shows three:
Free motion quilting closed-toe foot QC
Free motion quilting open-toe foot QO
Free motion quilting zigzag foot QV (I have never heard of free-motion zig-zag. never occurred to me to even try such a thing. that might look pretty kewl.)
I have got to try at least one of these.
and experiment with using the zig-zag stitch during free-motion.
heck ... i don't even know yet whether my mc8900 will even allow it.
I was wondering what this quilting zig-zag means.
Please post pictures.

I use the "Big Foot" from Nancy's notions for quilting. It has a much larger foot which is completely clear so you can see where you're going or where you've been. It's amazing!! It is like a hopping foot.
