I tend to use a lot of yellows and golds. Love fall colors.

Orange or orange tones (warm). I try to get away from that color family. When I walk in a quilt shop that is the first thing that hits my eyes. And I have to try really hard to put it down and look at something else.

My problem is, that then I don't like the fabrics I go home with. So, does a person just stick with what they really love and not step outside the box?

My eye is always drawn to teals first and I have to make myself look at other stuff. My next favs are mustard yellow and the bright mix of Moda Ruby type colours. I only buy plains because I have to and i'm not into pastels. My thought is why buy brown when for the same price I could get a nice bright red :)

    For me, it's seasonal, and "mood-al". ;-)

Bold colors -- jewel tones. But I have been forcing myself to add backgound and lighter colors to add more flexibility to my stash.

I like all colors, but I more attracted to different shades of purples. I just love going to the fabric store and see all the different shades of colors side by side.

It depends. Some quilt patterns just seem to need warm colors and others just "scream" for cool colors. If I don't have a quilt in mind, though, I'm drawn to the cool colors.
