Keepsake is the greatest for the finest fabrics.
Also, everyone should participate in their two-yearly quilting contests, and show us your talents. I have entered twice and have had such fun designing, quilting, and then seeing my submission posted on their Web Page. I have not won, but will continue to participate.

A few years ago, we had one of the top executives come to our guild meeting and speak to us when the company was sold. He wanted to reassure us that the quality etc. would stay the same. (He was right). It really increased Keepsake's volume since they started cutting the fabrics for the Fons and Porter's kits that are offered in their magazines. (At least, that's what we were told at the time).
In my humble opinion, I would not travel from Florida just for the tent sale. Now that Keepsake has a sale room, many of the fabrics that are in the tent can be found there and you don't have to put up with the whole frantic circus atmosphere. That said, many like that atmosphere. I usually drive up for a peek but don't always buy much. I really do prefer the New Year's Day sale (20% off storewide). This has become my new year's tradition as long as the driving is safe.

Piney and I were able to meet yesterday at Keepsake for a short visit. I've never meet anyone from the board before so that was pretty neat. I had just given up, the place was a little busy when I spotted her!
Happy sewing, Piney!
