I always encourage my customers to consider a label. It is such a beautiful way to personalise the quilt, and show their pride in it!

Thank you Shelbie What a great idea. I have never labeled a quilt except to just but the date in a back corner. i get a label panel and do as you said.

I didn't sign the first quilts I made (through ignorance) but now I do use some type of labeling. Sometimes I use the alphabet setting on my machine and sometimes I use a permanent pen. A very few have been hand embroidered. The label usually includes only my name and the date completed. Ex: Gail G------ 2014. The last two UFOs have not been labeled yet.

Maybe I need to simplify and just do this. I'm paralyzed by too many choices.

I used to label all of my quilts and love the concept but don't like the way it makes the reverse side unusable. Many quilts can be used on either side. I now embroidery my name and the year and it isn't really noticeable

I had labels made up from a store on Etsy, and put them on everything from quilts to table runners to wall hangings. BUT I changed my Etsy store name, so I have to get new ones printed. I'm thinking about doing something nicer though, so I'm exploring my options. The old ones were on 3/4" twill tape, and just had "Created By", my name, and my Etsy store link.
