I have bought some kits, but usually prefer to pick my own fabrics.

I do both. Usually I choose my own fabrics from my stash, but if there are a zillion little pieces of material I need for a pattern in specific colors, I may buy the kit. Also, sometimes I can't buy just a pattern, but have to buy the kit if I want the pattern There are so many free patterns online that I rarely buy a pattern any more.

I have bought too many kits. I am not confident in picking fabrics so when I see a kit made up and love the color choices, I buy the kit.

I very seldom buy kits. If I see one I really really like then I will. But I too love to choose my own fabrics and like to change the pattern as well. Sew and create as you go!!!!

Me too. I like to put my personal touch on them as well as pick out my own fabrics.

I'm the same! Have bought tablerunner kits specifically to get the pattern as well. Guess I like it all.

Bought one once, a Christmas themed flannel kit after the holidays at a nice quilt shop. I loved having all the fabrics coordinating and the easy directions. Also the price made it a real bargain.
