Default Do you have favorite paper pieced feathered star pattern?

I want to do a feathered star quilt as my winter project. I ordered Marsha McCloskey's Vintage Moments, and I would like to look at paper piecing, as well. Any recommendations? Would love to see yours!
Thank you!

I've done a number by Cindi Edgerton at averyspecialcollection.com.

There's a good book called something like "50 Fabulous Paper Pieced Stars". Some really pretty and unusual stars in there. Check it out.

I made a Vintage Moments quilt and my 3 girls fought over who was going to get it. They had a meeting and then told me that I had to make 2 more so they each got one. I made 3 of them. They have a lot of pieces but are worth the time and effort it takes to make one.

Maybe watch some videos on line about paper piecing. The quilt will go together very easily if the blocks are all accurate.

Jesse at Threaded Quilting has a free pattern available in several different sizes. She also has a YT channel with videos of step by step for making the block. Hope this helps. http://www.threadedquilting.com/no-y...feathered-star

I've also done a star by the above mentioned threadedquilting. Nice pattern, good instructions

Wow! Three of them??? I would love to see them! I read the instructions last night, and I think I will be brave and try to piece this without using paper piecing. Did you find that you needed Marsha’s special ruler?

Thank you! This is the best paper pieced feather star “pattern”that I have seen. I am going to attempt to piece traditionally, but I may make a paper pieced sample block as well, and then decide how to proceed.

Thanks everyone!
