My room is named Marcy's creative room . Instead of looking at the mess that was always there, it is now viewed as work in progress . It is a room where I am always creating something.

That's what I say, too. I have always had a sewing room in every place I've ever lived. Now I have the unused 3rd bedroom. One side was used as my glass studio and one side was where my sewing machine lived, but since I decided to make quilts instead of stained glass art, I just call it going upstairs.

Mine is called My Sewing Room, My Room, My Therapy room. My DH says why don't you go to" your room" when he's getting frustrated with me about something. We are putting the washer and dryer in there so should I come up with another name?

Mine is the "rat hole" or "rat trap". The way the house was built results in a wedge-shaped room getting narrower toward the back much like the old fashioned rat traps that were cone-shaped allowing the rat to enter but not leave. It also houses the laundry room. I decided that a sewing area there would be close to the laundry and little danger of anyone else bothering me. ;-)

I also call mine the Studio. On occassion I set tables up in the Man Cave to pin quilts. My DH calls it "creaping quiltism" when I move into his Man Cave.
