Do you keep a hand stitching/quilting project near by?

I have a hand-quilting project (Quilts of Valor panel wallhanging) in my sewing basket next to my chair. I also have a GFG blocks in a ziplock bag in my purse. The GFG blocks help pass the time at the Dr's office and on long car trips.

Nope! I despise hand-sewing. Even just tucking the ends in after quilting is an annoyance for me. I pretty much sew nothing by hand- I use my sewing machine to sew buttons on after they break off shirts.
The only hand sewing I've ever done willingly was for the Craftsy Stupendous Stitching class, and it really did make the project look better- however, I want to make another one, but the handwork is what is putting me off.

I just started yesterday as I have a stretch of sitting in Dr's offices and a hospital coming up. I started a GFG table runner, but it wouldn't take much to switch to a yo-yo table runner. I pressed my first flower last night and it needs a little work. Previously, I knitted simple things.
I agree with Lakekids on no handsewing, but I can't take a machine into an office or waiting room.
