I do. I take a picture of each quilt and then put it on a page in MS Word, print it out, fill in the blanks I have - Name of quilt, name of block, size of quilt, who it is for, a bit of why I did, how long it took... Love to look through it and see all I've done!!

I tell you, if I'm going to look at them in the puter or off cd.....it makes my finger itch to 'needle.' So, I'm keeping them on computer and cd for that someday when I've used up the stash and don't have a chance to go shopping in the rain. THEN I'll sit down and journal'em.

Loretta,

This is a great idea becasue the three ring binder can grow, you can organize it as you please and then you have volumes after a while for referencing. I started with a phot album, but the pages are fixed and limits categories without a lot of re-shuffling.

i got an album from walmart that has a photo pocket on each page and plenty of space to write. i take a pic of every quilt and write a discription
under each pic. i try to get a pic of the quilt with the person to whom i have given it. if i get a thank you note referencing the quilt i will paste that on the same page as the pic.
it would be fun to share how we document our quilting life.
I don't know if you could call it a journal, but I keep a notebook that has the quilts that I sold during the year, and each notebook will hold about 5 years worth of sells. I do that so that I know which quilts will sell the best and which quilts won't.
