Wow, you all have given me some great ideas. My husband just received notice that he will be layed off the end of August. He didn't make it to retirement, 4 years short of full pension. Fortune 50 company. Is the economy getting better? All these ideas will help. Thanks!

Wear-on-a-finger pin-cushions - the pincushion uses a bottle cap for its base and elastic to hold the pincushion on your finger
Hanging ruler holders - a couple of them have been shown on this forum
wooden ruler holders - if you have someone handy with wood - they look comparatively easy to make.
Mini ironing boards - maybe 15 x 15? - with a hard (wood) base - I have a June Tailor cutting mat/pressing side combination - but if I do a lot of ironing/pressing on it at one time, the cutting mat gets unhappy.
