I'm making pillow cases that match the bed quilt that I'm currently working on. DH and I have the Sobakawa pillows and they're not a standard size.

For storing quilts, when Target puts their bedding stuff on clearance I stock up. Or thrift stores for pillow cases. Over the years I've accumulated tons of pillowcases for storing quilts that I hope to make. :)

Are you putting the quilts in the case?

I have been making two coordinating pillow cases to match and on one occasion I made three matching throw pillows with the left over blocks. It adds a nice touch when the pillowcases are there.

What a neat idea. I think I will start doing this.

I make pillowcases out of the scraps....and use it as the gift bag. I also include a card with quilt care and storage printed on it.
