Definitely, but only with quilting fabric - not with shirts!! or other articles of clothing!! ;-)

Not to put a wrinkle in things [okay that was on purpose], but do you really want to do things twice? [All fabric fondling aside] I iron if I am getting ready to use the material, but ironing and putting it away where it will get creased and have to be ironed again doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Maybe I had to iron more in my younger years than some of you, but ironing several yards of fabric once is really enough for me!

I really like to iron the fabrics in preperation of quilting. When I make scappy quilts a mix up a bowl of starch solution and immerse all the scraps ( most are pretty small) ... then let them dry on a rack and press them all ... some people think I am nuts .. but I really like it. ... take that pile of chois and turn it into a nice tidy stack ! I always feel great afterwards.

I, too, enjoy the washing and ironing process. I do this when I'm ready to use the fabric. I also like to iron pillow cases. Can't say I enjoyed ironing years ago when everything needed to be ironed and kids to take care of, etc.

Yes, I enjoy ironing the fabrics. In fact, I enjoy ironing, period! I know, I'm crazy, but what can I say? I find ironing to be a mindless task that calms me down.

me too, I like to iron. It's one of the few things I am good at. Of course DH wears all T-shirts, so aside from quilt fabrics, I only have a couple of blouses that need ironing.

I think the enjoyment comes form doing anything with the fabric be it washing, ironing, cutting, piecing and quilting...it's all about the fabric!!! Sometimes i like to just LOOK at the stash :lol: :lol: :lol:

I enjoy ironing fabric, but not clothing. There's such a feeling of satisfaction in making something neat and tidy out of something wrinkly and messy. I love ironing seams into crispness, too.

So glad to see I am in such great company when it comes to ironing the stash. I don't mind doing a quick second iron when I am getting ready to use the fabric.
I like feel like I get a chance to see what this fabric or another might look like. I enjoy folding the nice crisp fabric and wrapping it around a rulers so all my stash is similar is size, then slipping it off the ruler for stacking on the shelf. I also feel like I accomplished something when I see it folded neatly on the shelf just waiting for it's turn.
I guess only another quilter understands.

Yes i love to iron, i love everything about quilting.
cutting is very soothing.
