    Do you use 1.5" strips?

Usually, I see 2.5" strips, and jelly roll patterns for using those.

Just wondering if any of you have used 1.5" strips, and what you made from them.

The 1.5 strips are good to make purses, wallets or other accessories with. Doll quilts or tiny pp projects.

I used them once to make a purse but I don't really like to work with such narrow pieces.

My daughter does LC wallhangings - my Christmas tree is lovely. I am going to use 1 1/2" strips on the light side of my uneven LC, so a light precut pack would work. Other than just outlines and such, I haven't graduated to such narrow strips.

Other than a narrow sashing or border, the only 1.5 inch strips I use are scraps that I put into string quilts.

I've made several rail fence quilts using honeybuns.

I used them for log cabin blocks, sashings for some patterns, the front face of Attic Windows frames and string quilts, but when I'm stocking up my stash of strips I always cut the 2.5"
A fabric stash is always missing that one fabric needed to finish the quilt on which you're working.

Moda used to have Honeybuns (1 1/2 strips) but they don't make them anymore.

I would use them for Log Cabin, Rail Fence, and as others said making smaller items like camera cases, wallets.

We are cutting all our scraps into 1.5" bits to use in Pineapple blocks. We have Gyleen Fitzgerald's "Trash to Treasure" book and ruler.

Log cabin blocks (I often use 1 and 1/4" strips!)
    curved log cabins
    inner borders
    flanges
    4-patches
snowballing squares (hope to have a picture of these in use coming your way in a day or two)
    string-strip pieced blocks
    triple rail blocks
    sashings for mis-matched size blocks

I've got a foundation pieced pineapple in progress, and I've bought all the Kansas Troubles Honey buns and yardage necessary to make a king-sized log cabin quilt. I'm planning an Oh-My-Gosh with honey buns and one of my recent quilts has a bazillion 9-patches made of 1" strips.

I love 1" strips because they look so much more intricate than the 2".

I love 1.5" strips! Great for LC blocks, for doll & mini quilts, a PS quilt, and for squares to swap!
