No he isn't and no he won't. He has done needlepoint once. Does that count?

My husband does not quilt, but finds everything I do amazing. He really gets amazed by sewing clothes. He just can't imagine how the process goes from fabric to a dress. This is funny because the man designs manufacturing equipment for a living. It must be harder than sewing.

He is always available for hold, measuring and anything that involves many angles. I don't angle well. I show him a picture and he cuts pieces. Oh, he also loves all my rulers, rotary cutters and mats. I'm afraid they will end up in the garage if I'm not watchful!

Mine does not and would not. But ... he picks up fabric for me on his commute home and he maintains my machine. He also oohs and ahhhs very nicely when I show him something. That's enough for me!

(I'm with the ones who could not afford it if they're husbands quilted, too.)

I asked my husband to help one time cutting fabric blocks and he didn't fallow my directions....well it was a trip to the fabric store for more fabric, he tried his best and I love him for it but him and a cutter no way! He does help me lay out the blocks and he will stack the blocks up for me according to the rows. He will also help tie the threads off and clip them.

My husband helps me in lot of ways, once the sewing is done. He designed the quilt for my secret sister one year and helps put the fabric strips together for soldiers's stockings we make at church. He is always curious about whatever I'm making and always supports my "habit"!

mine wouldn't know which end of a sewing machine was up. he is too much a computer geek to even think of trying sewing. he can sew a button on< maybe i think, if he had too and no one was around. but there would probably be lots of swearing and blood. He thinks it is not really manly to get into it. I have tried to tell him that there are lots of manly men who quilt but he thinks that i am making that up. hehe maybe one day.

DH is a wood elf and general tinkerer of sorts. His hobby is Astronomy and he spends lots of time gazing at the stars (a sentiment I don't really share). No, he will not be a quilter per se BUT he did sew a quilted clock one year as an anniversary surprise AND he is my color coordinator and general buddy in the sewing room. Even has his own comfy chair.

That would be awesome if he did. He's a disabled vet and I think it would help with some of the issues he deals with daily.
