Not anymore. I used to make quilts inspired by the Southwest when I lived in AZ but not much to inspire me here.

I think where I live has a big influence on my quilts I love horse and animal fabric and have a large collection in both fabric and patterns and in this area that is what seems to sell I also notice when I go to quilt shows there is a big difference in quilts in other areas

No, I just just colors that I like and they have nothing to do with where I live.

I do not - I will find something I love and make a quilt out of it - I don't really have a favorite color because with out all color what a boring world we would live in - I do novelty for kids and theme quilts for others my self if I love the fabric it will be used with stuff that works with it....

Maybe a little. I live in the foothills of the Smokies, and I usually choose traditional patterns. My favorite colors are blue, purple and rose which are the colors of my mountains. I also do a few more modern designs and colors, but those are my favorites.

I don't think so, I have so many different colors and styles of quilts. I go more for a new technique but am really getting into bright colors and pushing myself to try more involved patterns

Desert quilters, are you using earthy colors?

If you live in the woods or on the prairie, are you drawn to greens and golds?

In what ways do your quilts tie in to where you live?
Only in the Fall when we get the brilliant colors of the foliage. I always want to make a quilt to reflect that beauty, and I have made quite a few.

I live in the country, I decorate country style, I LOVE Thimbleberry fabric. So it is all relevant in my world.

I live on the edge of the Deschutes National Forest in Central Oregon. I have collected pine tree and pine cone fabric for years. Here is link to the quilt I made for our guest room. I plan on making something with the same type of fabric for our bedroom.

No, I use whatever I like. It has nothing to do with the beauty of Michigan.
