I like both, but like the bigger centers better. Make sure to show us how it turns out!

Yup, the smaller ones do make it more interesting and adds more depth.

Uh-Uh, thanks to you guys now I don't gotta do it!!

The pattern calls for the black background. I'll be making about 30 of the blocks - 10 ea of the 3 colorways all mixed up. Hmmm, as I look at it (I was planning 5 x 6 blocks) it may need more for a full size. Or, oh yeah, a wiiiide border!

So we're 7 for small vs 4 for bigger with 3 for either or both!

Thanks everyone!

Wonder if it would be more difficult to take out the HST, fold 1/4" over on center "hole" and sew a bigger HST on behind by sewing just on the folded edge.?

All going to be on black background.

Oh, but wait - My DD says she like it the original way better. Aaaarrrrggggghhhhh! You?

Waiting for answer from DC....
I like them both, but prefer the smaller one...

IF you do choose the large one though, simply fuse it down and blind applique it!

I think they're both fine, but the second set really pops!

Can't believe I also like the smaller HSTs. Interesting dilemma you have, LOL! Good looking quilt, though!

After looking at the examples for quite a while, I would agree with this too.
