I believe the 10 minute block that they are referring to is the one that has the 4 patch background with a the 3D block in the center. It resembles the Bow Tie block and may also be under the name easy Bow Tie or Faux Bow Tie block. The person who came out with a book and a You tube video on making the 5 minute block is same person the did the 10 minute block. The 5 minute block is the same one that Ricky Tims demonstrates as the easy Flying Geese block. OR it could be another block...that is the trouble when people use a name that is already taken or rename a technique.

My favorite is one I call a wonky crazy or log cabin. Start with a five sided shape and then add strips or chunks of fabric around it. Can be used in so many ways and is a real stash buster!
