This is what I did for the first quilt I ever made, and then a year later, for Christmas, I made two more king size for out two married daughers, and a twin size for our son. I made all three is a week before I had to go in for surgery.
This was over twenty years ago.

I made my daughter a king sized dp9 that she is very fond of. The LA quilter made it look awesome with lots of feathers, so it doesn't look so simple.

Thanks for this quilt name! I ordered it! (of course) from www.thinbleblossoms.com as download. It looks like this pattern is made from flying geese and HST and not strip peicing. I did see another tut for this that did use stripe peiceing. Actuall I thought that looked harder and you would have to read a long or down load all pages (and there seemed like a lot of pages).

Dig out your orphan blocks, sash them and make your top. That way it has all the colors in it and your sashing could be the uniting color. Hugs
