Embroidery Machine Quilt Designs

Hi everyone. I have been wondering if anyone has used their embroidery machine to quilt borders, etc. using the digitized designs. I see that Embroidery Library has quite a few border designs that are very nice. They indicate that they are single runs. Does this mean that it only sews out once? I am wondering if the stitches would be too tight for a quilt. If anyone has used these quilt designs I would love to hear how it worked for you. Thanks, Barbo

I have used their embroidery sq designs...For the borders you have to cont. move the hoop after the section is done and line up correctly.
I have a Husqvarna SE with the endless hoop...and what happens is once the design is stitched out it marks a special stitch so after you move the fabric in the hoop it's lined up...Personally it takes forever and allot of patience. I did a pillowcase edge and haven't use it since...

Yep, works great. I have an 'endless' embroidery hoop, which lets you easily advance the fabric. I did a christmas runner. I made the sandwich, just used straight pins and then machine basted using my walking foot and a loooong stitch. Hoop the fabric, stitch out the first motif, open the hoop (you don't take it off the machine), slide the fabric up, close the hoop then stitch the next section. My main dining table is 17 feet long, so the runner is over 6 yards long. I did not use any stableizer (sp??)

I used my embroidery machine to quilt some of this quilt and it works really well. I've never done a border though.

I have used the quilt designs for two of my crib quilts. It works great and there was very little bunching on the back. I am very new to quilting and I have big problems with little bunches and pleats on the back of my quilts. I'm working on it but the last quilt I did is still so very bad! Good thing they are for my children, they really don't care what the back looks like. I used the embroidery quilt designs for the entire quilt for the two crib quilts.
