I am in the process of organize/catalog them...I finally got all all the ones from magazines/online in clear plastic sleeves and in notebooks...next will be the Simplicity,McCall's, etc. that are going into file cabinets...(I got that idea from someone on the board)...then I am going to organize the panels, FQ's, yardage...my poor sewing machine must think I don't love it anymore...

Hi Wonnie -
I had a brain tumor removed in 1993 and although I am thrilled to be alive
I cannot remember patterns I looked at yesterday. I use the computer as an
alternate for a brain. I have made one folder on the computer called "Quilt Ideas" and then I make small thumbnails of every pattern I have purchased or downloaded free. After all, some of the pattern names don't convey the appearance of the quilt ....
In this way, I can scan the folder and pick out an appropriate pattern for a new fabric I just bought. I can also find the correct name of the pattern to check my alphabetized holdings. ==Judy

OMG..
I just last week went through all my patterns and took the ones that I know I will never get to doing ( I would say at least 50 or 60) and took them to my quilting meeting...what they didn't want, I will take to the other quilting group and after that...who knows where they will end up......
I see something online and have got to copy it and then maybe one out of ten I get around to sewing.......oh well, someone might like them.......
does that answer your question?

I spent the morning going through my magazines and taking out patterns and tip sheets. I won't subscribe to any more magazines - I'll never use all the patterns I save, buy, and print. Love looking at them and trying to figure out how to organize them.
