Also, with Etsy I feel you have more options in terms of dealing with the seller. For example, I was looking for a long out of print fabric. I saw that a seller had an item MADE out of the fabric so I contacted her and asked her if she had any additional fabric and would she sell it to me. She said yes, deal done. Ebay would consider that an illegal transaction (because they can't collect fees on it).

I do both Ebay and Etsy. When I have something that I want to get rid of quick and that I think will get alot of bids to raise the price I go to Ebay. For things where the price is more indicative of the work or value of the object Etsy.

I tried to sell quilt and quilt tops on ESTY never had any luck...Sell allot on ebay...
Items are hard to narrow down on ESTY...you can't really narrow down like on ebay.
Diff between the two are the fees are less on ESTY and you can keep it listed for 4 mths at a time.
No bidding on ESTY so I think most things are overpriced there.
Gave up on selling there and cont on ebay.
